A varnished, wooden staircase leads to a landing area (with ample space to store suitcases out of the way) and the two good sized bedrooms are off this landing.

House from the pool

House and pool

It is built from a combination of honey-coloured local stone and painted crepi (a sort of render) under a terracotta roof. It is tiled throughout with cream, ceramic floor tiles and has white plaster and exposed stone walls.  It is split into two halves, one part is where we live (there are only two of us, by the way).  It would originally have been a farmhouse with a barn coming off at right angles, protecting the rear of the house from the prevailing winds.   A large section of the barn wall was removed, the barn retiled and rendered and made into the accommodation you can see now.  The houses may be adjacent but are separated internally by a large store room making both houses totally private from each other.

We have a lovely 10 metre by 5 metre swimming pool with Roman steps with a sun terrace and sun loungers for you to enjoy. However, unless you really want to get very chilly (as it can take a while for the pool to heat up at the beginning of the summer season), the pool will normally only be available between May and October.  This may vary from year to year according to the weather conditions.  Our pool complies 100% with current French laws regarding pool safely.
There is 1.34 hectares (13,400m2) of meadowland completely fenced in for you to explore and, at certain times of the year, it is awash with flora and fauna.  Most years we try to leave a portion the meadow un-mown in order to attract birds, insects and other wildlife.  There is still plenty of room for lazing under two spreading oak trees or playing on the grass.  We have magnificent views from every direction all year round!
